A Christmas Fanfare Celebratory Christmas music for choir, brass and audience
Saturday, 20 December 2014, 18:00 - 20:00
Southwark Cathedral, London Bridge. London SE1 9DA
This year we have been fortunate in being offered this wonderful venue for our Christmas concert in our centenary season.
With acknowledgement to our link with Belgium in the origins of the choir 100 years ago, one of the items in this concert will be excerpts from the Belgian composer Joseph Jongen's Mass (Op 130). This will feature alongside William Mathias' Ave Rex.
Accompanied by a Christmassy brass ensemble there will also be plenty of audience participation with carols to put everyone in a good mood for the festive season.
* Please note * All the nave and aisle seats have now been sold - only seats in the cathedral transepts are available - these have a very restricted view, looking side-on to the choir on the staging *
