For the 6th year, members of Wimbledon Choral Society were invited to form half of the Festival Chorus for the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance in the Royal Albert Hall in the presence of the Royal Family and broadcast throughout the world by BBC TV. As everyone in the Hall is belting out Abide With Me, the camera sweeps across the choir and many WCS members get their fleeting moment of TV glory! However, that's not the reason why we're there in the first place. It is an enormous privilege to be present at this great event which remembers all those service men and women who have died in armed conflicts across the globe, past and current and we are honoured to be asked to contribute to the Festival in a supporting role.
