The
role of General Secretary
- Maintains all non-financial
records of the choir
- Records and publishes
the minutes of all formal meetings of the Committee, Executive
and the whole membership
- Issues the agenda for
all formal meetings and circulates any relevant documents beforehand
- Ensures that any points
requiring action following any meeting are accomplished
- Books venues (rehearsal,
concert and workshop) for which established process and procedures
exist
- Ensures venue contracts
are signed and returned within required deadlines
- Issues and records signed
contracts with professional musicians for performances as advised
by the Musical Director
- Drafts and publishes
on a regular basis an agreed schedule of events and deadline
dates for each music season
