Wimbledon Choral Society
The
role of Treasurer
- Maintains all financial
records of the choir
- Is prime liaison with
the financial institutions in which the choir's financial assets
are invested or held
- Is prime conduit for
the safe lodging of payments made to the choir into the bank(s)
or building society(ies)
- Makes provision for
the withdrawal or transfer of funds by appropriate means as so
required to effect the choir's business
- Draws up forthcoming
music season budgets in draft form in agreement with the Musical
Director and Executive
- Presents proposed budget
to the Committee and obtains agreement
- Publishes management
accounts to Committee on a regular basis
- Prepares end of financial
year accounts in the form and format as determined by current
legislation and rules laid down by the Charity Commission
- Obtains the required
sign-off for the annual accounts in accordance with current fiscal
law for charities
- Maintains records of
all payments made through Gift Aid and liaises with the fiscal
authorities to obtain any refunds due to the choir through this
scheme
- Is responsible for the
submission of all financial reporting to the Charities Commission
as required by the Commission
- Ensures all member subscriptions
are collected
