1. Choral Membership 1.1 Admission as a Choral Member shall be subject to the approval of the Musical Director. 1.2 Subscriptions are to be paid upon admission, or as otherwise determined by the Executive. 1.3 Members shall defray the cost of their own music. 2. Season The Season shall extend for a period of 12 months, commencing 1st September. 3. Attendance 3.1 A register shall be kept of the attendance of members at rehearsals and the Membership Secretary shall from time to time report to the Musical Director the names of those members whose attendance is irregular. 3.2 The Musical Director may determine that any member should not perform in a concert, whether because that member has not in his judgement attended a sufficient number of rehearsals or for any other reason. The discretion in individual cases conferred by this Regulation upon the Musical Director shall be exercised in consultation with the Executive. 4. Concert Dress The dress for the choir for concerts shall be: Ladies - Plain long black skirt of matt material and white long-sleeved blouse, both of uniform design as approved by the Executive, or if so specified by the Executive for any particular concert, a plain coloured long-sleeved blouse. Black shoes. No conspicuous jewellery is to be worn. Gentlemen - Dinner suit or plain dark suit with white shirt and black bow tie. Black shoes.5. Music Folders 5.1 At all concerts and other performances by the Society, members shall use music folders of the approved pattern, unless this requirement is disapplied by the Executive in the case of a particular concert or performance. 5.2 Members shall defray the cost of their own music folders. 6. Concert Tickets 6.1 Every member who performs in a concert shall be obliged to purchase at least two tickets for that concert, unless this obligation is disapplied by the Executive in the case of a particular concert, or in other circumstances as may be determined by the Executive in their discretion. 6.2 The obligation shall apply to the minimum standard price of tickets for the relevant concert, as announced by the Executive, subject to availability. 6.3 Any member who fails to purchase the minimum obligatory number of tickets may be required to pay to the Society an equivalent amount in lieu.
