The
New Queen's Hall Orchestra does
not see itself as a "period" orchestra but rather as
a collection of talented musicians, drawn mainly from the major
London orchestras, who are encouraged to express themselves with
appropriate instruments for the music they play which match almost
exactly the sounds as would have been heard by the composers
themselves. We are delighted to be associated with
this fine orchestra which deserves considerably more recognition
and support from the various arts institutions of this country
than it gets. |
|
