Christmas Tree Festival
  What better way to get into the Christmas mood than by dropping in to see the WCS tree on display at the United Reformed Church, Mansel Road in Wimbledon (where we sometimes rehearse)? Our tree is the work of choir member Isobel Penny and she has done the most amazing job of it! The attention to detail is exquisite.
As Isobel explains: “The tree decorations are reflecting the life span of the choir. There is a bauble with 1914 bottom left and the music is tea stained to look older, accompanying decorations start as bronze to gold from the bottom working up to silver and white at the top. The bunting has the names of some composers whose work we have sung. The top bauble has 2014 on it before the crystal Angel tops the tree.” Click on the photos below to enlarge them.
