Where and when do we rehearse?

 

The Society's season usually starts on the first Monday evening of September and goes through to the final concert in May of the following year.   However, sometimes we get invited to participate in festivals and other events which may fall beyond the end of May.

Until mid-2004, rehearsals were held in the Sir Cyril Black Community Centre, St. George's Road, Wimbledon SW19.   As from September 2004, these now take place on Monday evenings from 7.30-9.30 pm in Drake House, owned by the Wimbledon Guild and located around 200 metres or so further down St. George's Road.   The building is only about a 5-6 minute walk from Wimbledon's main rail and tube station.   Parking is not especially easy around this area so you may have to use some of the local side roads to leave your car or use the pay car park opposite the Community Centre.   Click here to see a map of the area showing St. George's Road.   The map will appear as a separate window in your browser.   Just close the new window when you have finished with it to return to this page.
