We are so pleased to be able to stage a Concert for Choir & Audience again after not being able to do so last year. Once again there will be two performances, such is the popularity of this event - one at 3pm and the other at 6pm. In the wonderful acoustic that St Paul's Church has to offer, come and hear the choir in full voice with a mix of familiar and new items, and give your own voice a good exercise by joining with us in the traditional carols.
As a special treat, we are delighted to welcome
Jo Tomlinson as our Guest Conductor for this event. Jo has worked with the choir on numerous occasions in the past and we are very pleased she is able to join us this time.
Christmas is a time not only to wrap yourself up in the warmth of the familiar but also to look forward to the future with the new. Pieces in the programme include some beautiful music written or arranged by contemporary composers. We are using the opportunity to give a proper public live airing to Michael Higgins' splendid C
hristmas Fantasy that some of us were able to record in 2020 during a gap between lockdowns and broadcast on
YouTube. There will also be a bit of fun at the end in the final item but you'll have to come along to find out more! It might just have something to do with the number 12.
